Day 31: All-time favorite! Draw a cool picture of it.
Victreebel

I don't actually discriminate between my favorites but I really like Victreebel. Maybe because I've always been fascinated by carnivorous plants. It has a plain, adorable and monstrous look :)

So here, have a realistic-ish Victreebel who just hunted a Poliwag.

Pokeddex Challenge completed... Now, back to the gijinkas.

oh my god...for a moment I thought that was the random blue bird on Weepinbel's (did I spell that right?) original trading card and I was like "Dear God it evolves and eats the bird?!"

I didn't even know there was such a card... I guess it's a nice coincidence :iconsweatplz:

[link] Here...a lot of people were like, why is there a random bird? Like, a real-life bird that is! Shouldn't it be a Pidgey or a Spearow or something?

I dunno, they may would like to put only one single PKMN in the card art. Sometimes they put real-life animals in the anime either, i.e. there were real-life fish in Cerulean Gym.

Aside that, some of the Pokedex entries even mention real-world places like China, South America...

Yes...they frequently mention Indian elephants of all bizarre things too!

Ikr? Poor animals are doomed with being victims of electric rodents and toxic ghosts. Pokeworld is crazy.

I like Victreebel as well. It got really close to my top 100 Pokemon that I'm currently working on. But then again, there's just too many Pokemon I like.

Top 100... sounds interesting. I may try that :)

Well, the reason I like Victreebel is it's pretty balanced. By design, by stats... Pretty simple, but not too generic. Has its own depth.

Its overall idea (a giant pitcher plant with monstrous features) is pretty good too, makes it a true Pocket MONSTER.

And I like Grass/Poison types in general :D Poison is my favorite type of Pokemon.

But as I said before, I like all my favorites EQUALLY, they're all bros and sisses. I don't like being obsessed with a particular Pokemon.

It's actually a fully vocalized countdown I'm making for my channel on YouTube. [link] (this video is not vocal, just a trailer, I'm actually getting close to finishing part 1 100-91) It takes a very long time to make a video with good quality (especially when it comes to Pokemon and no way to record DS footage)

Grass is actually my favorite type. The reptile look a lot of them have just really appeals to me and there's nothing more satisfying then beating others with plants. And I also like putting my opponents in really bad situations xD

And though I'm not "obsessed" I do have a particular Pokemon that I hold very dear and I want to share when I get to the finale. I just hope for a good top 100 :)

Thanks for the link! :) I'll be waiting for your Top 100 video. I don't have a YouTube account, so I'll probably write it in my journal.

Yeah, I like giving a slow and painful death to my opponents with Grass types too :D Leech Seed, Toxic, Giga Drain, Synthesis... awesome (:

I felt sorry for the Poliwag too...

But that's how the things go in the wild :)

I don't know why, but I laughed when I saw the title of this picture. I mean, it's morbid, but it's just too appropriate! The cycle of life can really be a pain!

Ironically, Victreebel looks higher in the food chain :) (plants are lowest on that chain)

Yes, but carnivorous plants do surpass small animals on the food chain, so it is not completely ironic. Though, in Victreebel's case, I don't know if any pokemon surpasses it on the food chain.

Yes, I totally forgot that : ) It can be a secondary (or tertiary) consumer who eats insects, toads, mice, etc... But still it's pretty hard to find carnivorous plants in food chains.

Victreebel must be eaten by some omnivorous Poison or Steel type (to avoid poisoning). Bugs can be a threat too.
